"We initially contacted Commsplus as we were looking for them to take on the maintenance of our aging Samsung telephone system from our, now previous, telecoms supplier due to extremely poor customer service and high annual maintenance costs from them. We were previously a customer of Commsplus before 2006 but were ‘lured’ away with, what turned out to be, false promises from another telecoms supplier." Says James Cole.
Commsplus provided us with an annual maintenance quote at approximately half of our, then current, costs with no questions asked. As our conversations continued it turned out that they may be able help us further with our overall Telecoms bill - even thou we were still in the middle of a lengthy and very overpriced lease with our then current supplier.
Their salesperson came and visited us and was very upfront with all costings which were clearly defined in a well ordered quotation stating the savings that we could gain by switching to them – as well as having a brand new and up-to-date IP based phone system installed, complete with all the Cat 5 cabling, to replace our 10 year old Digital-based phone system. The quote also included a ‘buy-out’ of our existing telecoms leases and maintenance agreements. When we saw the quote from Commsplus we were shocked at the level of payment we had been making to our existing supplier and quickly decided that we should take up this offer.
The installation was booked and 2 very knowledgeable and personable engineers arrived at the surgery. Commsplus totally understood that we were a very busy GP practice and the engineers worked around our surgery times and room availability to complete the installation. The new Samsung IP Phone system was programmed to our specification on-site, tested and tweaked until we were happy with the final result – nothing was too much trouble. The switchover from the old digital system to the new IP system was seamless and we experienced no downtime – which was very crucial for us being a GP surgery.
Since the install we have been able to phone or email Commsplus whenever we have needed to and have experienced either immediate or very timely responses to any problems or queries – nothing ever seems too much trouble. If any programming changes have been required to our system these have been completed remotely as much as possible from their offices to save waiting for an engineer appointment – and most importantly without any extra fee as this is all included in their standard maintenance contract. All the support staff are friendly and eager to help in whatever way they can to make sure your telecoms system is working the way you need them to so that your business can run to its highest efficiency – even if you phone them at 5pm on a Friday!
To further our technological development, and better our services to our patients, Commsplus are also being involved in our new and upcoming projects regarding our remote working using the ever growing UK 4G data network. This will allow our GPs to access full patient records on Home Visits to our elderly and housebound patients and on ward rounds of the local Nursing Homes that we serve. This will empower our GPs to make clinical decisions on-the-go without being tied to a desk or relying on a short summary printout. It will also enable them to complete such tasks as electronically sending prescriptions to Pharmacies for delivery or booking for a Community Nurse to visit the patient and complete blood tests.
Overall, we cannot recommend Commsplus highly enough to any company looking to use them - their professionalism and knowledge of telecoms technology and ongoing support is second to none and we are very pleased to have formed, what we hope to be, a long-standing business relationship with them.
