The best smartphones of 2018
December 20, 2018

Our 2018 smartphone roundup - What are the best phones of 2018?

2018 Has been a great year for smartphones, from the iPhone XS to the Samsung Note9 and some great phones from 'new' players, Huawei and OnePlus. So here is our roundup of the best smartphones for your business.

Apple iPhone Xs

iPhone XS & XS Max

Everyone has heard about the new iPhone XS and XS Max. Apple's new iPhones come with their brand new A12 Bionic chip, dual rear cameras, OLED display, wireless charging and all the top end features crammed into one well-built, top end flagship. Of course, the Apple flagship doesn't come cheap, starting at £999, these phones are ideal for executives, sales staff or directors looking for business mobile.

iPhone Xr

The iPhone Xr is Apple's 'budget' option this year. Although more expensive than the OnePlus 6T, the iPhone Xr is quintessentially Apple, making the most of its unibody frame by filling the phone with a gorgeous edge-to-edge 'liquid retina' display. Apples Xr also offers users a variety of colours, from 'coral' to red, blue, black, white and yellow. Of course, the iPhone Xr comes with Apples iOS and all the benefits of the Apple ecosystem.

Samsung Note9

The Samsung Note9 may be the best big phone of 2018. In typical Samsung fashion, the Note9 offers users a massive 6.4", AMOLED display along with dual rear cameras, an all new 'S Pen' stylus, 6GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The Samsung Note9 is ideal for staff who require a large screen and a powerful smartphone. This could perhaps be 'on the road' sales staff or homeworkers who utilise their smartphone to stay in contact with the office.

Google Pixel 3 & 3 XL

The Google Pixel 3 is an update of Google's Pixel 2. This year, the Pixel 3's main upgrade was the camera technology. With 2 front facing cameras, including one wide angle lens, fast charging and 4GB of RAM, the Pixel 3 is a great smartphone for businesses who are perhaps not looking to spend the £1000+ on the Note9 or the iPhone Xs.

Huawei Mate 20

China based Huawei are a relatively new player to the 'top' smartphone market. Huawei released their latest flagship, the Mate 20, earlier this year. The Mate 20 has three rear cameras for exceptional photos, as well as a very powerful processor and fantastic edge-to-edge display. Huawei is becoming a major player in the Western smartphone market and your business could benefit from their flagship smartphones.

OnePlus 6T

OnePlus 6T

The OnePlus 6T is an updated version of last years OnePlus 6. OnePlus have been on the smartphone scene for a little while now and continue to make exceptional Android flagship smartphones at a competitive price. With their specs knocking on Apple and Samsungs door and prices around the £500 mark, the OnePlus is a great contender for businesses who's staff would like a high quality 2018 smartphone at a reasonable price.
